Mini Makers is a conceptual packaging project that was the result of the prompt to create packaging for a kit of various items of any nature. I chose to create an art kit for children in which the packaging itself is used in the craft, as that is more sustainable.
I made a paint-your-own-house with two characters, instructions, a paintbrush, and eight colors vertically stacked upon each other.
On the back of the instructions are illustrations of flowers and a bumble bee that can be painted and stand to work as a garden to the home. A circular hole at the top of the packaging serves as a handle and a spotlight for the house.
The box splits into two sides, with die-cut windows and an arched door. There is a hole in the middle of the two paint containers so that the brush can be placed upside down to reduce messiness.
This design is playful and imaginative, and the possibilities are endless!
